Seventh Art Releasing and Sun-Street Productions present a feature-length documentary about the history of the second largest ghetto created by the Nazis in occupied Poland. The film, by the Canadian director, David Kaufman, is based on a haunting program of songs performed by the renowned Jewish music group, Brave Old World. This is the first film to feature extensive interviews with Holocaust survivors from Lodz. The documentary also features remarkable photographs taken by the ghetto’s official photographers and striking colour images made by a German accountant.
